Stefan Struve vs. Marcin Tybura scheduled for UFC Hamburg this July

MMA: UFC 204-Struve vs vs Omielanczuk Per Haljestam-USA TODAY Sports

Two of the best heavyweights in the world will collide at UFC Fight Night 134 on July 22 from inside Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany, as towering Dutchman Stefan Struve (28-10) takes on Polish specialist Marcin Tybura (16-4), the promotion announced after an initial report by MMANytt.com last week.

Struve, 30, is coming off a unanimous decision loss to former UFC champion Andrei Arlovski this past March. “Skyscraper” was also defeated by Alexander Volkov via knockout in his lone bout last year. The nine-year UFC vet is always a name to look out for in the heavyweight division but he’s going to need a big win to get back on track, especially considering Struve has lost to almost every contender ranked in front of him.

Tybura, 32, failed to rebound from a five-round main event loss to former champion Fabricio Werdum when he was knocked out by heavyweight finisher Derrick Lewis this past February. The Jackson-Wink MMA product has gone 3-3 since entering the promotion back in 2016, but could get right back into the title mix should he defeat “Skyscraper” in devastating fashion.

UFC Fight Night 134 will be headlined by a light heavyweight matchup pitting former divisional champion Mauricio Rua against former title challenger Volkan Oezdemir. Another 205-pound clash will feature hard-hitting Brazilian contender Glover Teixeira and streaking Swedish powerhouse Ilir Latifi.
