Bellator 200 takes place at SSE Arena in London, England, on May 25, 2018. It’s a show so big that depending on the day of the week — and who you ask — either the Middleweight title fight with Rafael Carvalho defending against Gegard Mousasi or the Heavyweight rematch between Mirko Cro Cop and Roy Nelson is the featured fight of the night.

One thing is certain for “Big Country,” though -- it’s a second chance to get back in the promotion’s Heavyweight Grand Prix tournament. After previously being eliminated by majority decision in a Bellator 194 rematch with Matt Mitrione, company president Scott Coker recently revealed at a Bellator press conference that the winner of this second rematch for Nelson is an official alternate for the tournament if needed.

“That will be for the first alternate spot. Whoever wins will be the alternate for the tournament in case somebody gets injured.”

Said same press conference was a sneak preview of this weekend’s Bellator 198: “Fedor vs. Mir” fight card at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill., on Saturday night (April 28, 2018). You can watch the whole thing here.
