Mark Wahlberg on fighting Ronda Rousey: ‘I don’t think she can beat me’

Can former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey beat longtime actor Mark Wahlberg in a street fight?

Maybe. Maybe not. Maybe fuck yourself.

Sorry, but no Wahlberg post is complete without a hat tip to Sgt. Dignam. Both talents were on hand to promote the release of their upcoming action flick “Mile 22,” featuring “Rowdy” as some sort of gun-toting heavy (check out her onscreen pic here).

“As a man, I feel like I got a shot,” Wahlberg said. “I don’t want to get into a ground game with her. I feel like I have 40 pounds on her, I don’t think she could beat me, but she’s fantastic. More importantly, when you see her in the role that she’s playing, the performance that she gives, it’s awesome.”

The role she is playing here is pretty awesome too, based on some of the feedback coming out of WrestleMania 34.

Rousey may be wrapping up her career on the silver screen now that she’s no longer the most feared woman in combat sports (thanks to this), but that doesn’t mean she’s out of the entertainment business just yet, courtesy of this this Lifetime deal.
