How many viewers watched UFC Fight Night 128?
An average of 956,000, according to MMA Fighting, 20 percent ahead of the 2017 average for prime time and 28 percent above the “Swanson vs. Lobov” card on FOX Sports 1 on the same weekend last year.
UFC Fight Night 128 featured a lightweight showdown between Kevin Lee and Edson Barboza, which “The Motown Phenom” won by fifth-round technical knockout (see it again here). Last weekend’s bonanza peaked with Justin Willis vs. Chase Sherman at 1,092,000.
The “Prelims” average was down 12 percent at 561,000 viewers.
UFC Fight Night 128 faced some competition throughout the night, as the main card went up against the Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Utah Jazz NBA playoff game (3,394,000), in addition to the Adrien Broner vs. Jesse Vargas boxing match on Showtime (782,000).
The preliminary card had to fend off the NHL, as well as a NASCAR race on FOX (3,033,000).
