Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion, Frankie Edgar, will face off against 145-pound striker, Cub Swanson, at the UFC Fight Night 128 mixed martial arts (MMA) event TONIGHT (Sat., April 21, 2018) on FOX Sports 1 from inside Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Edgar initially defeated “Killer Cub” inside the Octagon back in 2014 via submission. Two wins later, “The Answer” saw himself in yet another title fight, though he ultimately came up short against Jose Aldo for the second time.
After racking up back-to-back victories, Edgar secured himself one more championship bout, though plans to face Featherweight kingpin Max Holloway went up in smoke thanks to a knockout loss to Brian Ortega.

As for Swanson, his last loss also came at the hands of “T-City,” losing to the submission specialist at UFC Fight Night 123 last December, which broke his four-fight win streak in the last fight of his old UFC deal. After coming to terms with the promotion on a new contract, Swanson is ready to get back into the win column by scoring some sweet revenge.

Only time will tell if Edgar can rebound from his first career knockout loss and immediately get back into the title hunt, or if Swanson can avenge a previous loss to “Answer” and live up to his new UFC deal.
