Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is back on television this Saturday (April 21, 2018) with the UFC Fight Night 128 mixed martial arts (MMA) event on FOX Sports 1, which features a lightweight main event between Edson Barboza and Kevin Lee, who battle for a spot in the 155-pound title chase.
And we’re now down to 11 fights after Magomed Bibulatov vs. Ulka Sasaki was scratched when Bibulatov was felled by injury, shortly before Leslie Smith refused to fight the overweight Aspen Ladd.
Elsewhere on the card, held inside Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Frankie Edgar tries to get back into the win column against Cub Swanson, who looks to avenge his loss to “The Answer” back in late 2014.

Round 1: Willis lands an early uppercut and they trade fast shots. Sherman lands a body kick, eats an uppercut in the clinch. Counter 3-2 by Willis. Big counter left rocks Sherman a minute in. Sherman shakes it off and looks for a high kick. Low kick and right hand land for Sherman. Two minutes in. Right hook connects for Wilis inside. then Sherman takes one to the nards. He takes a break to recover, only to walk right into a savage left hand that drops him. Willis buries him in left hands, but Sherman somehow manages to survive. Willis on top in half guard. Low kick from Santos. Again to the calf two minutes in. More leg kicks. Branch tries to shoot, then lamps Santos with a vicious overhand right. Branch drills him with more right hands until the ref steps in.

135 lbs.: Brett Johns vs. Aljamain Sterling
Round 1: Combination lands for Johns. Sterling sending out early kicks. Johns catches one, can’t keep it. Counters by Johns. Low kick lands for Sterling a minute in. Sterling tries a body kick. Straight left, body kick. Leg kick by Sterling, who grabs a body lock. Johns nearly lands on Sterling’s back, but ultimately surrenders guard two minutes in. Johns works his way back to his feet, Sterling still attached. Two minutes to go.
Double underhooks for Sterling. Knee from Sterling on the exit. Johns looking to make up for lost time, eats a knee. One minute to go. Body kick again by Sterling. Again a body kick. Johns looks for a single-leg, gets him down. 10-9 Sterling.
Round 2: Both sending out kicks early. Sterling lands a combo, eats a 1-2. Jumping knee catches Sterling coming in. Johns looks for a single-leg, sprawled on. One minute in. Ref separates them. Johns trying to go for it, ducks a spinning elbow. Sterling ducks in for a single-leg and puts Johns right back on the fence. Johns separates with a minute to go. Round 1: Hooker just towering over Miller, sending out kicks. Miller with a low leg kick. Miller tries a takedown, eats a knee to the body that backs him off. One minute in. Hooker on the front foot, takes a short right hook. Counter hook by Miller, Hooker tries a knee. Miller catches a body kick, great defense from Hooker until Miller gets him to the cage. Two minutes in. Hooker scrambles to his feet. Knee and elbow from Hooker, body kick. They trade punches near the fence and, as Miller ducks in, Hooker meets him with a show-stopping knee. Miller is out on impact.

170 lbs.: Alex Garcia vs. Ryan LaFlare
Round 1: Body kick from the southpaw LaFlare. Leg kick. One minute in. Garcia shoots off a LaFlare kick and gets majorly sprawled on. They stand. Garcia tries a lazy spin. Two minutes in. Body shot from Garcia as he ties up, then LaFlare takes him to the fence. LaFlare drags him down for a moment. Good knees to the body. Two minutes to go.
Garcia tries a throw, gets underhooks and separates. LaFlare body kick. Garcia shoots, LaFlare turns him and puts him back on the fence. Back to the center. LaFlare trips Garcia up with an inside low kick. 10-9 LaFlare.
Round 2: Garcia doubles up the right hand, eats a body kick. LaFlare shoots, goes to the rear waist lock, and looks to secure the back. Garcia works his way into top position, but LaFlare uses butterfly hooks to scramble up. LaFlare lands a knee as Garcia takes him down a minute in. Garcia keeping him down against the fence. Now looking for the back. Two minutes in. One hook in, but LaFlare initiates a scramble and gets back to his feet. Garcia tries to take the back again, but winds up on the bottom. LaFlare on top in half guard. Two minutes to go.

Body kick from LaFlare, who sprawls on a shot two minutes in. Front kick to the midsection, head kick attempt. Garcia lands a takedown on the fence. LaFlare looking for a rear crucifix. Round 1: Dvalishvili tries to spin early. Low kick lands. BIG right hand connects. He tries to spin again and Simon looks for a takedown. They separate. One minute in. Tries an elbow this time, then hits a takedown and looks for the back. Big slam. Again. Simon gets back to his feet and they go to the cage. Outside trip, tries to take the back and gets too high before they scramble up. They trade in the center. Two minutes in. Another hard right hand by the Georgian, who eats one in return. Leg kick from Dvalishvili. Simon lands a straight right. Right hand slips through Simon’s guard and sends him to the mat. Simon tries a takedown, staggers around the cage as Dvalishvili chases him down. Simon shoots with two minutes to go.
Dvalishvili still charging after him, hits a lovely takedown. Simon pops up. Another takedown. One minute to go. SImon on his feet, Dvalishvili still attached. They separate. Right hand from Simon draws a smile. Simon lands a body shot, eats another right hand. 10-9 Dvalishvili, borderline 10-8.
Round 2: Leg kick from Simon. Good right hand lands for him. Simon goes low-high with left hooks, then a straight right. Spinning back fist attempt. Simon doing well at range this round a minute in. Dvalishvili still chasing him, falling short with shots. Merab hits a single-leg, gets too excited looking for the back and eats a knee. Two minutes in. 2-1 from Dvalishvili. Good knee to the body from Simon, but it lets Dvalishvili drag him down. Simon works his way up, hauled to the cage. He tries granby rolls to escape, cannot dislodge the Georgian. Dvalishvili again goes too high on the back and eats knees. Tight elbow from Simon, who gets stuffed on a shot. Dvalishvili cracks him with a right cross. Round 3: Body kick from Dvalishvili. 1-2 by Simon as he takes a groin shot. They exchange in center cage. Well-timed level change by Dvalishvili. Simon works his way up a minute in. He hits the switch and grab the rear waist lock. They separate. Simon to the body. Dvalishvili hits a brief takedown. 1-2 by the Georgian. Two minutes in. Simon hits a takedown into side control. Dvalishvili regains half guard and looks for a kimura. Nothing doing. Simon looking to set up an arm triangle, Dvalishvili bridges out of it when he tries to pass and stands. Two minutes to go.
Dvalishvili pressing forward, lands a knee and looks to open up on the cage. He tries a single-leg, not there. Good right hook upstairs. Head kick attempt. Round 1: Bahadurzada opens with leg kicks, eats a flying knee. Straight rights land for Bahadurzada, than an overhand right. Bahadurzada catches a kick and lands a right before taking him down into guard. One minute in. Closed guard. Good right hand from Bahadurzada. Two minutes in. Another series of good rights. Chagas hits a beautiful sit-out and takes the back, locking up the body triangle. Right hands from the Brazilian as he looks for the choke. Two minutes to go.
More right hands from Chagas to the head and body. Good control from Chagas, doog defense from Bahadurzada. One minute to go. Bahadurzada gets to his feet, dragged right back down. Round ends there. 10-9 Chagas.
Round 2: Overhand right from Bahadurzada. Chagas advancing, Bahadurzada throwing heat off the back foot. One minute in. Uppercut catches Chagas leaning. They trade in the center. Knee from Bahadurzada as he denies a level change, then a body shot. Both switching stance. Two minutes in. Bahadurzada fires a two-piece and stuffs a shot. Bahadurzada goes low-high. 2-1 by Chagas. Suddenly, Bahadurzada fires a front kick that petrifies Chagas, then an uppercut as the Brazilian keels over that puts him to sleep.

205 lbs.: Corey Anderson vs. Patrick Cummins
Round 1: Cummins already threatening level changes as Anderson fires his jab. Cummins shoots in off an Anderson uppercut and takes him to the fence. Anderson breaks his grip a minute in, eats a knee and comes back with a straight right. Both land right hands. Anderson opening up with punches, lands a good knee. Cummins reeling as Anderson marches on. Hard body shots. Cummins’ right eye is already a mess as he nearly shoots into a knee. Elbow from Anderson. Uppercut, left hook. Uppercut again. Cummins throwing back but he’s eating a boatload of shots. Cummins presses forward with a combo, eats a left hook. Anderson catches a body kick and shoots, taking Cummins down on the fence with two minutes to go.
Knee by Anderson. He continues to land. One minute to go. Anderson hits a double-leg into half guard. He takes the back and starts dropping punches. Cummins works his way to his feet, forced back down. Cummins tries to spin. 10-8 Anderson.
Round 2: Anderson rips the body. Anderson tries a knee, lands a two-piece. One minute in. Dirty boxing from both as Anderson takes him to the fence. They separate in the center. Jab from Cummins. Lead right comes back. Two minutes in. Anderson blasts through for another takedown and he looks for the back on the cage. Cummins works his way up, dragged back down to his knees.
