Dana White: UFC champ Daniel Cormier — not Jon Jones — is greatest of all time

Who is the baddest light heavyweight champion of all time?

Well, that depends on who you ask. According to top title contender Alexander Gustafsson, who went five hard rounds against Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier in separate title fights, the answer is pretty obvious.

For others? Not so much.

“In my opinion, the baddest light heavyweight champion of all time, Daniel Cormier,” promotion president Dana White told the “Undefeated” cast of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 27 in the clip embedded above.

“Bones” held two wins over “DC” — one of them by knockout — until this happened.

Cormier is coaching TUF 27 opposite fellow bad MF Stipe Miocic, which is expected to help promote their UFC 226 super fight in Las Vegas, Nevada. Perhaps White forgot it was a spot originally intended for Jones.

Or maybe being the G.O.A.T. requires you to keep your nose clean outside the cage.

Literally!

And while I’m sure most fans are thinking of “Bones,” who was pulled from competition in the wake of his latest misstep, can we get some consideration for Chuck Liddell? “The Iceman” not only carried the sport in the early years, but also racked up seven straight KO/TKO wins from 2004-06.
