It was all Brad Tavares earlier tonight (Sat., April 14, 2018) at UFC on FOX 29 from inside Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona, as the Hawaiian veteran put a brutal stop to Polish middleweight Krzysztof Jotko via third-round TKO.
Despite establishing decent range in this fight, Jotko seemed hesitant to unload most of his strikes. That allowed Tavares to find his own rhythm, score countless points, and gain confidence to go for the finish late in the fight. In Round 3, as Jotko had his back to the cage, Tavares landed a brutal right hand that instantly put the middleweight out. A few more insurance shots were added before the referee stepped in for the knockout stoppage.

With this performance, Tavares locks down his fourth-straight win at 185 pounds and first UFC finish since a 2011 knockout of Phil Baroni. The 30-year-old may finally be putting it all together entering the second half of 2018 and could be a dark horse to threaten the top 10.
