Longtime Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight, Tim Means, came up on the wrong end of a split decision at the UFC Fight Night 125 mixed martial arts (MMA) event on FOX Sports 1, which took place last month in Belem, Brazil.
He was paid his win bonus anyway.
That’s according to a recent tweet from the “Dirty Bird,” who appears to have been supported by the promotion after wonky scorecards ruled in favor of Sergio Moraes, despite the general consensus that Means handily won rounds two and three.
Thankyou @ufc and @danawhite for sending me my win bonus. #ufcbelem #realwinner

UFC has been known to right scoring wrongs, also taking care of Ross Pearson after his robbery against Diego Sanchez back in 2014.
It’s been a rough couple of years for Means (27-10-1, 1 NC), who stands at just 1-3 (1 NC) dating back to late 2016. At age 34, he needs to put together a couple of big wins to get himself into the top 15 of his division.
No time like the present.
