Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion, Conor McGregor, called hip-hop star Curtis Jackson — better known by his stage name “50 Cent” — a “bitch” in front of a raucous New York crowd last summer (watch the video here).
Jackson was born in Queens.
It was less about the rapper and more about his longtime friend, Floyd Mayweather Jr., who was gearing up to box McGregor last August in Las Vegas, so “Notorious” used their pre-fight press conference to get his licks in.
That led to a rebuttal from Jackson, who insists he can beat McGregor in a street fight, though he does acknowledge the trash-talking Irishman is a pretty talented fighter ... despite his inferior genes.
“Conor McGregor is a talented fighter and all that, he’s talented for a white boy,” Jackson said on social media. “But you know (plural word I can’t say) have superior genes when it comes to that kind of shit. In order for white people to have a champion, they had to make ‘Rocky,’ because they can’t actually do that shit. It’s just too much work.”
In news that will shock no one, the post has since been deleted.
Unfortunately for Jackson, nothing can ever truly disappear from the Internet and video of his racist rant is now making the rounds on Twitter. As for McGregor, he was unable to shock the world against Mayweather, losing by late technical knockout, and will now surrender his lightweight strap when the fists start flying at UFC 223.
Based on the moolah he’s making outside of the Octagon, I doubt he cares.
