They may no longer be the first couple of mixed martial arts (MMA), but that doesn’t mean former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate won’t come to the aid of ex-boyfriend Bryan Caraway when the situation warrants it.
Case in point: “Kid Lightning’s” controversial decision loss to Cody Stamann on the UFC Fight Pass “Prelims” portion of the UFC 222 pay-per-view (PPV) event last weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada (full recap here).
“I don’t think Bryan Caraway lost, he won rounds one and three in my opinion,” the now-retired Tate wrote on Twitter in response to perhaps the most illiterate UFC fan on social media. “The judging was consistently terrible for UFC 222.”
UFC 222 ended with five split decisions.
Tate and Caraway ended their longstanding romance back in 2017, and “Cupcake” has since moved on to find a new man in her life, which quickly became a trio after news broke that the former Strikeforce champ was pregnant.
