Former UFC women’s bantamweight standout Jessica Eye will try to make it two in a row at 125 pounds when she takes on Jessica-Rose Clark at UFC Fight Night 132 on June 23 from Kallang, Singapore, per a recent report by MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani.
Eye, 31, is coming off a split-decision win over Kalindra Faria in her first UFC flyweight bout this past January. That victory was Eye’s first Octagon appearance in over 16 months and one that ultimately ended her dismal four-fighting losing streak. “Evil” remains one of the biggest players in the UFC’s newly-minted flyweight division and could work her way towards a title shot in 2019.
Clark, 30, is fresh off a unanimous decision victory over highly-touted contender Paige VanZant this past January. The Australian native is currently riding a three-fight win streak and has won both of her UFC flyweight bouts. However, Clark missed weight for her Octagon debut by two pounds so it’s going to be important for “Jessy Jess” to show up on point this time around, or the promotion could force her up to bantamweight.
UFC Fight Night 132 currently has no venue or main event in place.
