Here’s that video of Ronda Rousey being truly awful to ESPN radio host

New, comments

We get it, “don’t talk about Fight Club” and all that crap.

I think former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey, has to know that every interview is going to come with a certain number of questions about her mixed martial arts (MMA) career.

And it’s her fault!

She refuses to say “I’m retired” so of course that leaves the door open for a potential return. That’s the price to pay for being the biggest female fighter in combat sports, so you have to take the bad with the good.

Remember when she started her MMA career and everyone asked about her Olympic medal? That’s kind of how it works.

Rousey is now a professional wrestler for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) but has yet to participate in an actual wrestling match, so there isn’t much to ask her about aside from her upcoming debut at WrestleMania.

But in case you didn't understand the context of their conversation, ESPN radio host Cork Gaines asked “Rowdy” if she would go back, in time, to MMA. Meaning, if some time passed between now and her WWE career, would she go back to the sport that made her famous?

Not “go back in time” like those little munchkins from Time Bandits, but why should Rousey let that stop her from being a jerk about it? I don’t remember Ellen getting that sort of treatment.

I think someone in WWE should explain to her she’s not supposed to break kayfabe.
