Yet another Bellator 196 fight card change - Ed Ruth vs Ion Pascu booked

Bellator 196: “Henderson vs. Huerta” takes place at Budapest Sports Arena in Budapest, Hungary, on April 6, 2018. The scheduled main event (not the original main event) will see former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) Lightweight champion Benson Henderson (24-8) face “El Matador” Roger Huerta (24-9-1, 1 NC).

If you can’t keep up with the numerous changes to this card at this point I don’t blame you. Former main event fighter Adam Borics first got moved to the co-main event, then lost his opponent for that fight altogether. And while Bellator was scrambling to find a replacement, Ed Ruth lost his opponent Laszlo Furko, too.

Fortunately Bellator found a man who agreed to face Ruth at a Catchweight of 175 pounds. The undefeated (4-0) sensation from Penn State University will take on seasoned veteran Ion Pascu (17-7), who is coming off back-to-back wins in the British BAMMA promotion.
