If you’re an ignorant American (guilty), you probably don’t know much about the International mixed martial arts (MMA) circuit, but Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki — mercifully shortened to KSW for tongue-tied Yanks like myself — is pretty fucking huge in Europe and the top combat sports promotion in its native Poland.
How huge? KSW 39: “Colosseum” drew more than 57,000 fans.
KSW 43 is going down in less than a month (April 14) inside Hala Stulecia in Wroclaw, pitting Olympic medalist Damian Janikowski (2-0) against former BAMMA & EFC middleweight champion Yannick Bahati (8-3) in the 185-pound main event.
In the KSW 43 co-headliner, Roberto “Robocop” Soldic (13-2) defends his welterweight title against two-weight EFC champion Dricus Du Plessis (11-1), a grudge match featured in the recently-released preview video embedded above.
