Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion, Daniel Cormier, is the hardest puncher to ever make contact with the UFC Tonight punching bag, which may or may not be as legitimate as this test of might.
But that didn’t stop injured UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway from trying, as the “Blessed” Hawaiian leaned into one to come fairly close to fellow 145-pound slugger Jeremy Stephens. Following him was UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, who also gave the punching bag a ride.
Sorry fellas, “DC” still reigns supreme.
We’ll see if that punching power come in handy when the Olympian returns to the heavyweight division for a champion vs. champion super fight against Stipe Miocic, scheduled for Sat., July 7, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
It’s unclear if Cormier will remain at heavyweight after capturing the crown, or just disappear until the promotion takes it from him, sort of like Georges St. Pierre (middleweight) and Conor McGregor (featherweight and lightweight).
Time will tell.
