Ask and ye shall receive.
A featherweight clash between former champ Jose Aldo and always dangerous knockout artist Jeremy Stephens is being targetted for UFC Fight Night 132 from Singapore on June 23rd. The news was reported by Combate reporter Ana Hissa.
Aldo diz que foi oferecido e aceitou luta contra Jeremy Stephens em Singapura no dia 23 de junho, só falta oficializar.

The fight is one that both Jose Aldo and Jeremy Stephens have been asking for, but it will happen a bit later than originally expected. Initially, Aldo was petitioning to have the fight at UFC 224 in Rio on May 12th, but that card already has more than its fair share of great fights. So instead the UFC seems to be spreading the wealth out. There’s no confirmation yet, but we’d be shocked if this Aldo vs. Stephens fight didn’t headline the upcoming Singapore card.
There’s few details regarding the rest of the card at this point. Even the city and location haven’t been announced yet. As it stands, confirmed fights for the event include a women’s strawweight bout between Nadia Kassem vs. Xiaonan Yan and a flyweight fight between Ashkan Mokhtarian and Jenel Lausa. But this possible main event signals the UFC is getting to work on their return to Southeast Asia.
