Nasrat Haqparast vs. Nad Narimani pulled from UFC London due to eye infection

MMA: UFC Fight Night-Gdansk-Held vs Haqparast Per Haljestam-USA TODAY Sports

UFC Fight Night 127 couldn’t escape the last minute injury bug, as promising lightweight prospect Nasrat Haqparast has been pulled from his preliminary bout with Nad Narimani today (Sat., Mar. 17, 2018) live on Fight Pass from inside The O2 Arena in London, England, due to an infectious eye condition.

Mixed martial arts (MMA) journalist Nolan King was first to report the news, with UFC officials making the following announcement just a while ago:

Based on advice from the UFC medical team on Saturday morning, Nasrat Haqparast was deemed unfit to fight due to an infectious eye condition and his bout against Nad Narimani has been cancelled.

Haqparast, 22, was looking to rebound from a debut loss against Marcin Held back in October. The talented knockout artist from Afghanistan will have to wait for another chance to capture Octagon glory.

Unfortunately for Narimani, who was filling in on five days notice for an injured Alex Reyes, he will not get his opportunity to make his UFC debut.

UFC Fight Night 127 will proceed with 10 bouts.

MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire UFC Fight Night 127 fight card, starting with the Fight Pass “Prelims” matches online, which are scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. ET, followed by the main card start time of 5 p.m. ET, also on Fight Pass.
