The action opened up in fashion earlier today (Sat., Mar. 17, 2018) at UFC Fight Night 127 live on Fight Pass from inside The O2 Arena in London, England, as Octagon newcomer Dmitriy Sosnovskiy laid waste to veteran heavyweight Mark Godbeer via second-round submission.
While the talented Russian prospect had finished his three previous bouts via knockout, Sosnovskiy wasted little time closing the distance and forcing Godbeer to grapple. In Round 2, after “Wicked Machine” utilized a guillotine attempt to drag Godbeer to the canvas and moved over into full mount, Sosnovskiy was able to turn the Englishman over and find a home for a rear-naked choke finish.

With this performance, Sosnovskiy enters the heavyweight mix in devastating fashion. The young prospect looked very comfortable in his UFC debut and could make a quick climb up the divisional ladder heading into the second half of 2018. Sosnovskiy is now 11-0 with nine finishes (eight coming in the first round).
