Fight fans were treated to yet another last-second finish earlier today (Sat., Mar. 17, 2018) at UFC Fight Night 127 live on Fight Pass from inside The O2 Arena in London, England, when English striker Leon Edwards put a stop to Peter Sobotta via TKO with one second remaining in the third round.
Despite being ahead on the scorecards entering the final frame, “Rocky” continued to put the pressure on the Polish veteran and gained a huge upper hand along the cage. Edwards rained down heavy ground-and-pound to an exhausted Sobotta before the referee stepped in for the knockout stoppage with one second left on the clock.

With this performance, Edwards extends his current welterweight win streak to five, including a submission victory over former top prospect Albert Tumenov back at UFC 204. “Rocky” called out fellow European fighter Darren Till for a main event showdown at UFC Fight Night 130 in Liverpool this May, so we’ll see what the promotion decides to do in the coming weeks.
