Submission! Watch Paul Craig tap Magomed Ankalaev with one second left at UFC London

In one of the most unexpected come-from-behind victories in recent memory, Scottish light heavyweight Paul Craig submitted highly-touted Russian prospect Magomed Ankalaev earlier today (Sat., Mar. 17, 2018) at UFC Fight Night 127 live on Fight Pass from inside The O2 Arena in London, England, with one second remaining in the third round.

While a last-second submission finish is a rarity in its own right, the fact that Craig was getting dominated for the majority of this fight makes his triangle choke even more memorable. Ankalaev, who was a -700 favorite entering the fight, slipped up when it mattered most and saw his near-perfect Octagon debut end in disaster.

With this performance, Craig captures his 10th career win in the last fight of his UFC contract. While the towering light heavyweight had to rely on a last-ditch effort to score a finish over a promising talent like Ankalaev, Craig proved that he deserves another chance to compete under the bright lights of the Octagon.
