So much for this dumb report.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will finally make its Liverpool debut in England, courtesy of the upcoming UFC Fight Night 130 mixed martial arts (MMA) event inside Echo Arena on Sun., May 27, 2018.
Headlining the FOX Sports 1 fight card is welterweight standout and local hero Darren Till, who is slotted to go five rounds against an opponent to be named — though Stephen Thompson was named as first choice when Till was interviewed at the UFC London weigh ins (replay).

“I can’t believe UFC is finally coming to Liverpool and I’m going to be headlining Echo Arena,” Till said (via MMA Junkie). “My name is going to be remembered in 200 years’ time for being part of this historical event and I can’t even describe how much that means to me.”
Beware of the injury bug!
Joining Till on the UFC Liverpool fight card is the middleweight showdown between Tom Breese and Daniel Kelly, as well as the 185-pound clash pitting Elias Theodorou against Trevor Smith.
Expect more fight card announcement in the coming weeks.
