ONE: “Battle For The Heavens” is set for the Oriental Sports Center in Shanghai on May 26th and will be headlined by a women’s strawweight title bout. Chinese fighter Xiong Jingnan will be defending her strap for the first time against Argentina’s Laura Balin.
Jingnan (11-1) won the title by stopping Tiffany Teo in January. Her reward is a headlining slot on the first of three ONE Championship cards in this with shows for August 18th and December 15th also on the 2018 calendar.
Balin (10-2) is a promotional newcomer who made her name fighting in Argentina. She brings a four-fight winning streak into her promotional debut which will be shown live in China by Great Sports Media.
Great Sports Media is one of China’s largest sports broadcasters and will be showing all live ONE Championship events alongside a weekly magazine show.

A week earlier, the promotion’s other female champion will also be in action. Angela Lee will be defending her atomweight title against Mei Yamaguchi in a rematch that headlines ONE: “Unstoppable Dreams” at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
