Former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) champion Phil Brooks, who operates under the moniker “CM Punk,” is expected to make his return to mixed martial arts (MMA) at the upcoming UFC 225 pay-per-view (PPV) event on Sat., June 9, 2018 inside United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Punk (0-1) is expected to face fellow combat sports newbie Mike Jackson (0-1) and while the actual bout has yet to be confirmed, Brooks did reveal the event date when responding to one of his many UFC fans on social media.
June nine, after I win and lock eyes with my beautiful wife, embrace my coaches and shout out my entire team https://t.co/TmzRWR2kbn

Punk was smashed and trashed in his UFC debut, which came against welterweight whippersnapper Mickey Gall at UFC 203 in Cleveland, Ohio. So, as you might expect, the “Straight-Edge Superstar” returned to Roufusport to work on his skills before accepting a second fight.
This November will mark the fourth year Punk has been signed to UFC and we still haven’t even gotten to his second professional fight, just to give you an idea of how long he’s managed to drag this thing out.
See you in “The Windy City” ... maybe.
