Welcome to Midnight Mania!
Meisha Tate gave vent recently to feelings many Jon Jones fans could surely relate to: disillusionment. She felt that she had just been on the Jon Jones rollercoaster too long, and had decided to check out.
I’ve heard this story one, two, three, four, five times already, so unless he shows me something different than just saying ‘I’m a changed man,’ he’s got to do a lot more to gain me back as a fan and to care to see him compete again. I just don’t want to be let down again.”
Jon Jones responded today on Twitter.
@MeishaTate I don’t quit when things get tough for me, I get stronger. You just wait and see, maybe you’ll even find motivation in it. Sucks I lost you as a fan. Enjoy retirement sister.

What I can’t decide is if this is shady on Jon Jones’ part or not. Is Jones implying that Meisha, who retired after a loss at UFC 205 and is now expecting her first child, quit when things got tough for her? Or is he simply expressing respectful regret that he lost her as a fan?
Is Jon Jones being shady?

No- what are you talking about?
Yeah, it’s hidden but it’s there
Jon Jones is always shady
Regardless, what is clear is that Jon Jones still wishes to be seen as a role model and an inspiration in some way. But with the shoddy defense his team came up with, his destiny isn’t really in his hands- it’s down to the punishment USADA sees fit to mete out.
Ramon Dekkers was a legend, and his countryman Alastair Overeem honored him on the fifth anniversary of his passing yesterday
Today it’s been five years since Ramon "Diamond" Dekkers passed away. Every time I come to Thailand it’s clear that he’s had a huge impact on the sport of Muay Thai. He was the first "Farang" (foreigner) to beat a Lumpinee stadium champion and through his accomplishments he paved the way for many Europeans. He has inspired so many fighters around the world including me. I’m so proud to say that I have gotten to know him and his family. His legacy will live on forever. He is a true legend in every single way. Rest In Peace amigo
Speaking of Overeem, does he have a fight lining up?
Dana White is high on this kid Sean “Spicer” O’Malley.
Anyone miss prime Shogun?
Demetrious Johnson playing as himself in a video game made someone mad.
Chris Weidman calls out Lebron James because he’s been training with Enes Kanter. Might need to do a little more work than that first.
Forrest Griffin the philosopher

Jim Miller has his next fight lined up, which will equal Michael Bisping’s record for most UFC fights ever. Dustin Poirier, a former opponent, has nothing but respect for that.

Derrick Lewis always finds the most random posts on the internet.

Jordan Breen with the trip down memory lane for all you Pride fans.
Alright. I'll pull the trump card, just cause the Terminator theme is my head. The best piece of MMA hype footage ever. Nothing has ever, EVER even been close for what was the biggest fight in the sport's history at the time. https://t.co/c0idvJfoMw— Jordan Breen (@jordanbreen) February 28, 2018
Agreed. This deserves an extended, humiliating beating.
Alright, make the Lomachenko fight. pic.twitter.com/oPVb2i8rqp— Asker? I hardly know her (@BoxingBusch) March 1, 2018
UFC anti-trust fodder.
Possible #UFC case hot doc. Purported Mike Mersch e-mail to a Mark Hunt rep actually saying "so he will never see the end of his contract." Expert contract analysis matters most & Joe Silva denies that's how he'd put it (below), but man that was a dumb thing to allegedly write. pic.twitter.com/PpRjM3MqgI— Paul Gift (@MMAanalytics) February 28, 2018

A young prospect at featherweight, Yoshinori Horie:
Yoshinori Horie might one to keep an eye on, 5-0 and he’s only 22. Boy gets a read on his opponents very quickly. pic.twitter.com/pt4t4Muynh— AcidHaze (@AcidHaze) October 4, 2017
Horie has a bomb of an overhand right.I hope Rizin have a GP at Featherweight next year & pancrase enter him in it. pic.twitter.com/tLRbwKVgwV— AcidHaze (@AcidHaze) October 4, 2017
Brian Ortega would be proud.
This is old but worth the repost because I’ve never seen anything quite like this in a street fight.
