Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion, Rafael dos Anjos, moved up to 170 pounds last June and has since rattled off three straight wins, including last December’s victory over ex-welterweight champion Robbie Lawler.
And since promotion president Dana White already promised him a title shot, he’s ready to cash in, and can't seem to understand why reigning division kingpin, Tyron Woodley, won’t give him the time of day.
“I’m not his friend, family or anything close,” Woodley wrote on Twitter. “I’m his foe. Could give a care less about his patience. I’ll deal with him after I finish my scrap with Nate Diaz. Go fight Qweefington if you are impatient and bored.”
Qweefington might not be medically cleared to compete after last weekend's romp over TyQuil.
The surgrically-repaired Woodley already shut down most of the welterwhiners last December, but their collective chorus can be heard again now that “The Chosen One” is flirting with a Nate Diaz fight at the upcoming UFC 226 pay-per-view (PPV) in July.
As for Qweefington? He hasn’t beaten anybody yet.
