Video: Watch Colby Covington knockout TyQuil Woodley in NJ

New, comments

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight contender, Colby Covington, has been trying to talk his way into a fight against reigning division champion Tyron Woodley.

Unfortunately for “Chaos,” that spot has already been promised to former lightweight kingpin Rafael dos Anjos, who bumped up to the 170-pound weight class and took out three straight combatants.

Including former champion Robbie Lawler.

But that won’t stop Covington (13-1) from trying. At the WrestlePro event last weekend in Rahway, New Jersey, affectionately knows as “Nerd Bash,” the wrestler billed as “Chaos” stopped “TyQuil Woodley” with a first-round head kick, a stunning upset that sent the crowd to its feet.

Not really, but this clip needs all the help it can get.

While I’m sure it’s obvious, “TyQuil” is a play on “NyQuil” because Woodley puts people to sleep with his boring fights, according to his latest rival.

Anyway, the No. 3-ranked Covington remains unbooked at this time and hasn’t been seen since his tepid, unanimous decision win over former title contender Demian Maia back in October.

I hear this guy is sitting at home with nothing to do.
