Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion, Frankie Edgar, has been on the other side of this scenario -- as recently as last November — so he’s rightfully keeping his disappointment in check.

That said, no doubt “The Answer” is bummed that opponent Max Holloway suffered a leg injury and was forced to withdraw from their previously scheduled UFC 222 pay-per-view (PPV) title fight next month in Las Vegas, Nevada.

A place Edgar vows to remain in spite of recent events.

“Here we go again, definitely disappointed but fate wasn’t having it,” he said on Instagram. “I wish Max a speedy recovery but the show must go on. See you all in Vegas March 3rd!”

An opponent has yet to be named, but with just under a month to go, it’s possible the promotion can find an available featherweight to fill the hole. That said, it would have to be someone of name value if Edgar hopes to remain in the main event slot.

I hear this guy is available.
