Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar was on the verge of making his mixed martial arts (MMA) return against the unlikeliest of opponents, following this impromptu callout at UFC 214.

Then USADA was like yeah, no.

With no fight on the horizon, Lesnar return to professional wrestling, where he currently performs under the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) banner (sample). But his contract expires in just a few months and the rumors of an Octagon return are starting to swirl.

Thanks to this pic with promotion president Dana White.

“I’d like to see him come back,” White told TMZ. “When Brock Lesnar won the championship, he was fun, it was fun.”

But could Lesnar topple reigning division kingpin Stipe Miocic?

Stipe’s pretty tough,” White said, perhaps trying to smooth this over. And pretty busy too, as he’s set to coach The Ultimate Fighter 27 and face Daniel Cormier at UFC 226.
