Many fight fans were crushed when former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate announced she was pregnant earlier this year. They were happy to see “Cupcake” making the best out of her retirement from mixed martial arts (MMA), but seeing your combat crush officially taken off the market is a tough pill to swallow.
Thankfully Tate is just as good at growing a baby as she was competing inside of the Octagon. The 31-year-old recently posted a picture on her Instagram account (shown above) to show her current progress during pregnancy. Needless to say, Tate looks phenomenal amidst her first “baby bump.”
Tate has been extremely busy after stepping away from the sport following her loss to impending title challenger Raquel Pennington at UFC 205 back in 2016. Not only has Tate put a little cupcake in the oven, but she’s become an online fitness instructor, revealed her interest in a crossover into professional wrestling, and has even left the door open for a potential comeback in MMA.
For now, Tate will be sidelined until she gives birth to her first child. After that it’s anyone’s guess what the former UFC champion will do, but it would be nice to see Tate step inside of the Octagon one last time (or maybe even inside of the ring with her biggest rival).
