Talented bantamweight prospect Manny Bermudez made a memorable Octagon debut earlier tonight (Sat., Feb. 24, 2018) at UFC on FOX 28 from inside Amway Center in Orlando, Fla., when he extended his unbeaten record to 12-0 with a second-round guillotine choke finish over 135-pound veteran Albert Morales.
While Bermudez was caught and dropped by Morales in this fight, the Boston native remained in control by continuously threatening with submission attempts. During an exchange in the clinch early into the second round, Bermudez was able to grab a hold of Morales’ neck, drop down to the canvas, and crank on the choke until Morales had nothing left to do but tap.

With this performance, Bermudez enters the UFC bantamweight division in fashion. The 23-year-old prospect is extremely well at imposing his grappling and finding a finish, but he will have to add more to his offensive arsenal if he wants to climb the 135-pound ladder moving forward.
