Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is gearing up to stage its next pay-per-view (PPV) offering, as UFC 222 is locked and loaded for March 3, 2018 inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The event will feature a women’s Featherweight title bout between current division champion Cris Cyborg taking on Invicta FC women’s Bantamweight queen, Yana Kunitskaya. It’s a short notice championship bout that came to be after Max Holloway was forced out of his 145-pound title tile against Frankie Edgar.
Speaking of Edgar, he opted to remain on the card to face rising star Brian Ortega in the co-main event of the evening. It goes without saying the winner will earn himself a matchup against “Blessed” once he’s up and running again.
Furthermore, Andrei Arlovski will look to collect his second straight win when he faces off against Stefan Struve in Heavyweight action, while Cat Zingano makes her return to take on Ketlen Vieira.
