Is Jon Jones moving to heavyweight?
The former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 205-pound titleholder is making good use of his provisional suspension from United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), hitting the gym to pump some iron.
And getting thick and swole in the process.
“Bones” is no stranger to pushing heavy metal inside the gym (sample here) and may be gearing up for an Octagon return later this year. That’s according to his longtime manager, who expects a settlement with USADA at their upcoming hearing.
More on that here.
In the interim, Daniel Cormier will put the light heavyweight title on ice to challenge Stipe Miocic for the heavyweight strap, which not without coincidence, was a fight Jones had on the table at one point in his career.
As well as this one.
Jones (22-1, 1 NC) has not competed since his knockout win over “DC” was overturned in the aftermath of UFC 214 last July.
