UFC 231 live stream: ‘Holloway vs Ortega’ results, reaction and PPV fight updates

This month, Dana White and Co. are going to roll out the pay-per-view (PPV) paywall for two Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) main cards. The first of which, UFC 231, is going down tonight (Sat., Dec. 8, 2018), featuring two title fights to close out the event inside Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In UFC 231’s PPV main event, Max “Blessed” Holloway looks to defend his Featherweight strap against undefeated challenger, Brian “T-City” Ortega, while Valentina “Bullet” Shevchenko squares off with former women’s Strawweight champion, Joanna Jędrzejczyk, for the vacant Flyweight title in the co-featured bout. Although this fight card is a hardcore fan’s dream, it is the holiday season and money might be tight (or you may just not want to give the $4 billion WME-IMG-led organization your hard-earned cash).

For that reason, I’ve purchased UFC 231 and will be using it as an opportunity to do a radio-style play-by-play broadcast of each punch, kick, submission or decision that his hidden behind the PPV paywall. I might be uglier than a late stoppage, but during the entirety of UFC 231’s PPV main card I will be doing my best to keep fight fans in the loop on the (hopefully) phenomenal displays of mixed martial arts (MMA), starting at 10 p.m. ET in the video player above.

Here’s what’s in store tonight with UFC 231’s PPV main card:

145 lbs.: Max Holloway vs. Brian Ortega
125 lbs.: Valentina Shevchenko vs. Joanna Jędrzejczyk
170 lbs.: Alex Oliveira vs. Gunnar Nelson
145 lbs.: Hakeem Dawodu vs. Kyle Bochniak
205 lbs.: Jimi Manuwa vs. Thiago Santos

Remember, too, that MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire UFC 231 fight card, starting with the Fight Pass online stream at 6 p.m. ET and then the FOX Sports 1-televised “Prelims” undercard at 8 p.m. ET before the PPV main card start time at 10 p.m. ET RIGHT HERE.
