With the official weigh-ins done Friday morning from Toronto, Canada, all our fights for UFC 231 are officially on like Donkey Kong.
All that was left was for the fighters to face off at the ceremonial weigh-ins, held at the ScotiaBank Arena just moments ago. UFC featherweight champ Max Holloway is returning after a worrisome delay to take on the extremely dangerous Brian Ortega, while the vacant women’s 125 pound flyweight belt is up for grabs in a battle between Valentina Shevchenko and Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
Things between headliners Holloway and Ortega stayed professional if a little intense, with Holloway wearing a ‘It is what it is’ headband and Ortega abandoning his laid back surfer dude persona as he locked eyes with his opponent.
