Conor McGregor hearing for UFC 229 fiasco postponed following NSAC continuance

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) two-division champion, Conor McGregor, was expected to appear before Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) next Monday (Dec. 10, 2018) to answer for his role in the UFC 229 post-fight brawl last October in Las Vegas.

Not happening.

That’s because McGregor and his legal eagles filed a motion of continuance that was recently granted, according to MMA Fighting, which means mixed martial arts (MMA) fans will have to wait to find out when “Notorious” will be allowed to make his Octagon return.

I doubt McGregor, currently working on his billions for Proper No. 12, is in any real hurry.

As of this writing, reigning 155-pound titleholder Khabib Nurmagomedov, who is missing one half of his fight purse for leaping into the stands in the wake of his McGregor submission, is still on the docket; however, that could change over the next few days.

Probably not the news top contender Tony Ferguson wants to hear, as “El Cucuy” is expected to fight for the title in early 2019, barring a disciplinary suspension for “The Eagle.” Might be time to resurrect that interim title if this holds true.
