Brian Ortega has risen up the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Featherweight rankings, going undefeated so far in his mixed martial arts (MMA) career by racking up a 14-0-1 record, 6-0-1 UFC.
One of his biggest wins came earlier this year when “T-City” faced former Lightweight champion Frankie Edgar at UFC 222 after Max Holloway as forced out of his title fight against “The Answer.”
Known for his outstanding jiu-jitsu skill set, Ortega kept the fight on the feet agaisnt Edgar where he simply had a field day with him, stunning him a sneaky left hand and then landing several combinations before ending Edgar’s night with a nasty uppercut.
Not only did Ortega become the first man to finish Edgar, but that performance also earned him UFC’s “KO of the Week.” On top of that, Ortega earned his first ever world title fight as he gears up to face reigning champion Max Holloway this Saturday night (Dec. 8, 2018) at UFC 231 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
