RIZIN FF

Japanese promotion RIZIN returns to action for their most ambitious New Years Eve card yet, featuring a blockbuster exhibition match between their kickboxing star Tenshin and boxing pound for pound great Floyd Mayweather. The event takes place from the Saitama Super Arena in Tokyo, Japan and is available for viewing through FITE TV for $19.99, but make sure to check the fine print before ordering in your region because the Mayweather vs. Tenshin fight “will not be aired in the USA, Canada, Mexico or Japan.”

So how the hell are you supposed to see the main event? That’s the riddle, isn’t it? Several UK and Australia outlets are reporting FITE TV will be carrying the Mayweather vs. Tenshin fight for their regions, so you international buggers are the lucky ones. The rest of us unfortunates may have to wait and watch pixelated gifs on Twitter.

A++ business move, RIZIN.

RIZIN 14 is set to take place across New Years Eve day in Japan, but those in North America will have to stay up late into the night. The event kicks off at 10PM EST with prelims that are unavailable to anyone not fortunate enough to be sitting in Saitama Super Arena, while the main card starts at 1AM EST and will be kicked off with shootboxing champ RENA taking on Samantha Jean Francois.

*UPDATE* The undercard starting at 10PM actually IS available through Battlezone.TV for 19.99, or buy the whole event (minus Floyd vs. Tenshin in restricted regions) for $24.99.
