Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently tied a ribbon around season 28 of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) on FOX Sports 1, where Dana White and Co. crowned new TUF champions in the men’s heavyweight (Juan Espino) and women’s featherweight (Macy Chiasson) divisions.
It also eliminated one fighter from the crowded 170-pound title chase, as Rafael dos Anjos was out-muscled by Kamaru Usman in the welterweight main event last Friday night (Nov. 30, 2018) inside Pearl Theater at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada (replay here).
Both fighters collected six figures for their efforts, as did “Prelims” sensation Joseph Benavidez for his destruction of Alex Perez. And yes, up-and-coming fighters are still paid $10,000 to compete in 2018.
