The action delivered on arrival earlier tonight (Sat., Dec. 29, 2018) at UFC 232 from inside The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., as bantamweight prospect Montel Jackson submitted veteran Brian Kelleher via D’Arce choke just 100 seconds into the very first round.
Jackson utilized his ridiculous 9.5” reach advantage early to land some crisp jabs and keep Kelleher at distance. Once “Boom” found a way inside along the cage Jackson cracked the elder bantamweight with a sharp elbow. Kelleher fell to the canvas and Jackson followed up with some ground-and-pound before grabbing a hold of Kelleher’s neck and locking in the finish.

With this performance, Jackson gets back into the win column after dropping his UFC debut to Ricky Simon back in August. As a bantamweight who possesses bigger hands than heavyweight knockout artist Francis Ngannou, Jackson is capable of doing big things in 2019, as long as he no longer struggles to cut weight.
