Pic! Alexander Gustafsson takes shot at Jon Jones, wears anti-doping shirt at UFC 232 weigh ins

With just 24 hours remaining before UFC 232 sets sail tomorrow night (Sat., Dec. 29, 2018) at UFC 232 live on pay-per-view from inside The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., fight fans were treated to the event’s ceremonial weigh ins earlier tonight (full video replay here).

Leading the way was an anticipated staredown between main event opponents Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson (watch that here). The two will be competing for the newly vacated UFC light heavyweight title in a rematch five years in the making. Remember, Jones defeated Gustafsson via unanimous decision back at UFC 165 to retain his 205-pound title.

But before Jones and Gustafsson stepped on the scale and faced off for the final time, “Mauler” was seen showing off some new attire. In effort to take a jab at Jones, who has popped for banned substances in the past and had an abnormal drug test surface earlier this week that ultimately forced UFC 232 to move from Las Vegas to California, Gustafsson donned a shirt with the word “doping” crossed out (image shown above).

While this a nice attempt to throw some shade at Jones on the eve of one of the biggest fights of the year, Gustafsson will need every ounce of effort and skill to defeat “Bones” tomorrow night at UFC 232. Because despite his past issues with performance-enhancing drugs, Jones has been cleared to compete and will have every intention of taking “Mauler’s” head off in their massive rematch.

MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire UFC 232 fight card, starting with the Fight Pass “Prelims” matches online, which are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. ET, then the remaining undercard balance on FOX Sports 1 at 8 p.m. ET, before the PPV main card start time at 10 p.m. ET.
