No wonder “Cyborg” is always in such a big hurry to fight.
California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) recently confirmed the mixed martial arts (MMA) salaries for those fighters competing in the main and co-main events at the UFC 232 pay-per-view (PPV) show tomorrow night (Dec. 29, 2018) inside The Forum in Inglewood, California.
Before those pesky “Golden State” taxes, of course.
Jon Jones, Alexander Gustafsson, and Cristiane Justino will all bank $500,000 for their respective performances on Saturday, according to MMA Fighting, while Amanda Nunes, who battles her fellow Brazilian for the women’s featherweight strap, takes home $350,000.
Keep in mind the salaries listed above do not include fight bonuses, Reebok sponsorships, percentages and other unofficial payments. I’m sure a few bones will be thrown after the promotion was forced to uproot the entire card — because of this — and move it from Las Vegas to California.
