Former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos delivered his first finish since 2013 last night (Sat., Dec. 1, 2018) at UFC Fight Night 142 live on FOX Sports 1 from inside Adelaide Entertainment Centre in Adelaide, Australia, when he ended rising Australian contender Tai Tuivasa via second-round TKO.
“Cigano” had to walk through some good punches and crippling kicks in the early going, but eventually connected with a beautiful right hand in the second round that stopped Tuivasa in his tracks. JDS followed “Bam Bam” to the ground and landed multiple hammer fists before the referee stepped in for the TKO stoppage.

With this performance, dos Santos moves up in the UFC history books with the third most victories in heavyweight history (14). The 34-year-old continues to prove he’s still one of the best fighters in the division and may have just lined up a fan-friendly matchup with terrifying knockout artist Francis Ngannou.
