Bellator 212: “Macfarlane vs. Letourneau” went down inside Neal S. Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii, on Dec. 14, 2018. The Paramount Network-televised card saw Michael Chandler improve to 19-4 and regain the Lightweight title in a one-sided victory over his rival Brent Primus, who fell to 8-1 after his first career professional mixed martial arts (MMA) loss.

Medical suspensions for Bellator 212 (courtesy Hawaii’s Boxing Commission) are in and it’s a surprisingly short list, which is unsurprisingly topped by Frank Mir. The former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight champion tapped out because of strikes after losing his mouthpiece and having his alveolar ridge fractured. Mir has been ordered to sit out for no less than 30 days, as is Kaeo Meyer, who suffered a first round technical knockout loss to Tywan Claxton.

The following night, Bellator 213: “Macfarlane vs. Letourneau” happened in the exact same venue, this time airing exclusively on DAZN (watch it). Ilima-Lei Macfarlane kept her perfect MMA record intact (9-0) in a Flyweight title defense against Valerie Letourneau, who fell to 10-7 in her first Bellator loss. From that card, the local commission ruled that Kona Oliveira will be medically suspended 30 days following his third round technical knockout, while Kala Hose is suspended 60 days after his first round loss to Marcus Gamble.

At this point I’d usually say “the complete list of injuries and suspensions is below,” but that’s it. Indeed, no other fighters were flagged or given any medical suspensions — not even a mandatory minimum seven days. That’s Hawaii for you, I suppose.
