One of boxing’s best claimed another championship belt last night (Sat., Dec. 15, 2018) live on DAZN from inside Madison Square Garden in New York City, as Canelo Alvarez (51-1-2, 35 KO) defeated Rocky Fielding (27-2, 15 KO) via third-round TKO to claim the WBA (Regular) Super Middleweight title.
As expected, Canelo wasted no time getting inside on the much longer Fielding. The British champion landed a few good combinations when space was created, but that didn’t last long. Alvarez brutalized Fielding’s body at every possible turn and started to rack up the knockdowns. After Rocky fell to the canvas for a third time in the third round the referee stepped in and waved the fight off.

With this performance, Canelo captures another title in what is now his third division. That is the definition of being the pound-for-pound best. Alvarez was expected to take out Fielding in devastating fashion for his debut on DAZN so luckily he was able to produce the goods. Honestly, it was one of the easiest fights Canelo has had in years.
