Colby Covington verbally slams ‘emasculated cuck’ CM Punk during UFC Milwaukee broadcast

No UFC weekend would be complete without Colby Covington sticking his foot in his mouth.

During UFC on FOX 31’s broadcast last night (Sat., Dec. 15, 2018) from inside Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Covington took a direct shot at former WWE champion turned UFC fighter Phil “CM Punk” Brooks.

After MMAjunkie posted a picture to Twitter of Punk watching UFC on FOX 31’s action cageside, “Chaos” responded by belittling the aspiring martial artist with one of his patented rants:

“Good to see that uncoordinated, emasculated cuck is finally on the other side of the guardrail with the rest of the neck bearded virgins where he belongs #ufcmilwaukee,” wrote Covington.

Punk, who trains out of Roufusport in Milwaukee, crossed over to UFC from professional wrestling back in 2016. Despite catching unfathomable amounts of backlash for using his superstar name to carve out a UFC roster spot without any sort of mixed martial arts (MMA) experience, Punk made his anticipated Octagon debut opposite Mickey Gall at UFC 203.

Despite losing that fight via first-round submission, Punk remained positive, went back to train for an additional two years, and then made his return to the cage this past June at UFC 225. Punk lost yet again, this time to inexperienced welterweight Mike Jackson, but he looked better than he did in his debut.

Even though Punk is unlikely to ever step foot back inside of the Octagon, especially considering he’s currently commentating for Cage Fury Fighting Championship on UFC Fight Pass, Covington still felt obligated to verbally attack the former WWE superstar during UFC’s final broadcast on FOX (an event that had nothing to do with either fighter).

Maybe Covington was taking an in-direct shot at rival and current UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, who trains with Punk at Roufusport and has become very defensive of the WWE veteran.
