Light heavyweight prospect Mike Rodriguez made the most out of his second trip to the Octagon earlier tonight (Sat., Dec. 15, 2018) at UFC on FOX 31 from inside Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, when he put a stop to Adam Milstead via first-round TKO (knee to the body and punches).
It didn’t take “Slow” long to turn the heat up and put it on Milstead early. After establishing his range Rodriguez was able to leap in for a destructive knee to Milstead’s liver, which sent “Prototype” reeling to the canvas in pain. A few follow-up power punches sealed the deal for Rodriguez as the referee stepped in for the TKO stoppage.

With this performance, Rodriguez gets back into the light heavyweight win column after dropping his UFC debut to Devin Clark this past April. This is Rodriguez’s eighth career victory by way of knockout or TKO and probably not his last. If he can continue to put the pressure on opposing light heavyweights he could make a quick climb up the divisional ladder in 2019.
