Jack Hermansson made it look easy earlier tonight (Sat., Dec. 15, 2018) at UFC on FOX 31 from inside Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, when he choked out hometown favorite Gerald Meerschaert via first-round guillotine.
It was all Hermansson from the opening bell as the 30-year-old Swedish middleweight quickly got Meerschaert to the ground and gained top control. After some hard ground-and-pound, Hermansson was able to sink his arms around Meerschaert’s neck and lock in the guillotine choke for the submission win.

With this performance, Hermansson wins his second straight at 185 pounds after ending Brazilian veteran Thales Leites via TKO back in May. “Joker” is quickly turning into one of the most entertaining fighters in the middleweight division today and should be able to parlay this memorable finish into a shot at the top 15 his next time out.
