Lightweights Jim Miller and action grappler Charles Oliveira faced each other tonight (Sat., December 15, 2018) inside Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin tonight, the last live and free event on big FOX.
Miller came out southpaw, threw a low kick, and Oliveira stepped in, grabbed a body lock, and threw Miller to the ground. He took Miller’s back and threatened with a rear-naked choke. He got under the chin, and Miller was forced to tap! Charles Oliveira already had the most submissions in UFC history, but he just added another to his total, avenging a distant loss. Afterwards, he picked Miller up on his shoulders, with Miller pointing down at him in congratulations.
Oliveira thanked Jesus afterwards and his team in Portuguese, then evidently asked Dana White for an opportunity to fight Max Holloway at featherweight. That makes very little sense, as he was unable to make featherweight reliably, and Max has beaten him already. Confusing callout, but great win for Charles Oliveira at lightweight!
