Th action spills over into the squared circle later this evening (Sat., Dec. 15, 2018) live on DAZN from inside Madison Square Garden in New York City, as boxing superstar Canelo Alvarez (50-1-2, 34 KO) moves up in weight to take on WBA (Regular) Super Middleweight champion Rocky Fielding (27-1, 15 KO).
MMAmania will deliver LIVE coverage of the main event later this evening right here. The four-fight DAZN broadcast (watch it) begins at 9 p.m. ET, with the main event coming closer to midnight.
Canelo, who signed a massive deal with DAZN earlier this year for $365 million, is fresh off his decision win over previously undefeated middleweight king Gennady Golovkin. That victory solidified Canelo’s status as one of the best boxers in the world today. He’ll have a chance to further separate himself from the rest of the pack later tonight if he can defeat Fielding and capture another title in what would be his third division.
Tonight’s main event fight between Canelo and Rocky will be one of the most talked about combat events of the weekend so best not to miss it. Luckily, Mania is here is provide a potential start time for the DAZN headliner.
With a main card start time of 8:00 p.m. ET, there’s a good chance boxing fans don’t see Canelo and Rocky make their respective walks to the ring until sometime around 11:00 p.m. ET. Three other fights will take place before the main event, including a co-main event clash between current IBF Super Featherweight champion Tevin Farmer and Costa Rican contender Francisco Fonseca, so it’s possible that Canelo vs. Rocky gets bumped even further down the line.
If things run late Mania will be sure to provide an updated start time for Canelo’s awaited debut on DAZN.
